Sanken continue to develop new innovative power solutions for the gaming and kiosk markets, and to coincide with the launch of their NEW ‘video’ PSU, Sanken and iBrand Gaming have created the ideal partnership to take the product forward into new customers, in new markets.

The NEW ‘video’ wide ranging power supply utilises Sanken’s leading technology which includes interleaved PFC and synchronous rectification. Its power sharing capability between outputs, complements modern 12v & 24v ‘multi-video’ cabinet designs.

On display was the new gaming platform from Quixant, the QXi-4000, which is based on AMD’s embedded R-Series APU with integrated AMD Radeon^TM HD7000G series graphics and is capable of driving up to four independent HD screens. It is available with both Dual and Quad Core processor variants up to 2.1GHz (to 2.8GHz with boost) and supports up to 16GB of DDR3 main memory.

The GLI approved RCM06 USB / Serial gaming reel controller board was promoted throughout the show. The board provides the best in class gaming reel control functions and is designed to work with the Quixant range of gaming controllers or any other PC gaming control board. It is ideal for game development houses that are looking to develop hybrid (reel / video) games that require traditional reels to be used with PC gaming technology.

The Blue Alpha SAS 6.02 module was also promoted during the show, showing its compatibility with various PC gaming platforms. The software module allows games manufacturers around the world to benefit from substantially shortened game development times and significantly reduced development costs.

Following on from the successful Nitro range of slot cabinets, Elite Casino Products launched their new slot cabinet design at the show. The cabinet supports dual 23″ LCD monitors, is an ergonomic design with integrated LED lighting and a door mounted sound system. It is able to support all current technology platforms and custom button panels, player tracking systems and colour combinations are available.

Taking centre stage will be the QXi-106, Quixant’s all-in-one platform designed for compliance with Italian “Comma 6a” regulations. Featuring a high performance, low power AMD 64-bit CPU, integrated ATI Radeon X1250 GPU and support for dual independent DVI screens (with optional support for analogue VGA if required), the QXi-106 offers strong processing and graphics capabilities, but nonetheless has a compact physical footprint.

Features required to achieve Comma 6a compliance are embedded onto the logic board, including AAMS smart card socket and serial port, cctalk interface, SATA Disk-on-Module support and anti-tamper monitoring. The QXi-106 is powered by a standard JAMMA connector and no additional power supply is required.

The latest additions to Quixant’s range of gaming platforms will also be on display at the show, including the all-new QXi-4000 and QX-40 which are based on the ground breaking AMD R-Series APU.

The QXi-4000 is based on the powerful AMD Embedded R-Series APU with integrated AMD RadeonTM HD7000G graphics processor and is capable of driving up to four independent HD screens (with support for daisy-chaining of screens through the integrated DisplayPort 1.2 interface). Despite the processing and graphics power available, the QXi-4000 remains a compact solution and through the use of Quixant’s innovative cooling solution, remains suitable for fan-less operation. The QXi-4000 offers high performance and an exceptional range of features at a competitive price point. The QXi-4000 also integrates Quixant’s latest PCI Express® based gaming I/O and non-volatile SRAM/MRAM and includes the comprehensive software support for Windows Embedded and Linux which Quixant is synonymous with.

The QXi-200 has already proved to be an immensely popular product with customers, offering them a high level of performance and features at a low price point. Based around the AMD Embedded G-Series APU, the QXi-200 has strong processor and graphics performance and can drive two independent DVI screens, but remains a fan-less solution. The all-in-one platform has full hardware and software support for a range of key gaming features such as battery backed SRAM, digital I/O, intrusion detection and amplified audio.
